Well, I have a question, perhaps a little simple, but it really does not come as obvious to me : what is the difference between the techniques "under the skin" and "dirty painting"

Normally, (there can be exceptions to confirm the rule!), "Dirty Paintings" do not have any object other than paint tubes on the canvas (those which are used to make the painting). "Under the Skin" paintings have an object other than the tubes (violin, cello, etc?) on the canvas. That is the basis for their different name.
But as always there are intermediate works: tests, to assess the interest of merging two different techniques (here Dirty Paintings and rage / slicing), to end up with "Under the Skin" - literally under the skin formed by the acrylic resin and paint tubes.
It all brings back to the question posed by ARMAN, a question become impossible to circumvent since Arman: the place of the object (to the point of its very absence).
Thank to your question, it is clear that even absent, he is present here; nice solution to this oxymoron...
