BISHOP'S CATASTROPHE

Isn't it weird that the same word, in English, BISHOP indicates both a chess piece, (called "the jester" in French), and one of the highest positions in the governing pyramid of the christian church. Here the purple of the violin case, the composition almost like the shape of a mitre, also drawing the silhouette of the robe, attract us towards the title of work. But what sort of catastrophe is Arman telling us about, that of the absolute power of the church on its flocks, or the fossilized dispersion of dominating madness?
