L'hommage à Arman dans les jardins du Palais Royal a constitué un révélateur dans l'histoire de la "Suite Arman".
Parce-que nous avons VU.
Vu ce qui était là.
Mais surtout, ce qui n'était pas là.
Invitant à une réflexion plus avant sur le manque...
Arman n'est plus là.
Mais son oeuvre reste.
La question est: OÙ?
Nous, les héritiers sommes les garants de la succession.
C'est notre responsabilité au regard de l'histoire; Arman, artiste français, appartient à l'histoire de France
C'est ce que nous voudrions. Mais l'oeuvre a quitté le territoire français pour se retrouver Outre Atlantique.
La justice va débattre de cet état de fait pour statuer du délit d'appropriation.
Nous avons essayé de mesurer ce qu'on a plus. Pour partager avec vous quelques repaires.
Quantitativement, le nombre d'oeuvres relève d'une rétrospective.
Une rétrospective, c'est plus qu'une exposition; elle permet de montrer l'étendue des techniques employées par l'artiste des premiers travaux jusqu'aux derniers pour donner à voir le développement de l'oeuvre.
C'est ESSENTIEL...
Mais la perte du patrimoine n'est pas seulement quantitative, elle est aussi qualitative.
Dans l'Oeuvre, il y a les pièces "significatives" : celles suffisamment marquantes pour faire trace du parcours d'Arman.
Un patrimoine qui se perd, c'est l'histoire de quelqu'un qu'on ne peut plus raconter dans son entièreté.
Ceci pose un problème à la France: Arman est un des plus grand peintre-sculpteur français du vingtième siècle et le patrimoine de cet artiste est à l'étranger.
Ce qui est important, c'est que ce patrimoine REVIENNE SUR SA TERRE.
Cette terre est son ferment d'origine; et aussi le nôtre; et aussi le vôtre.
NOUS sommes la terre qui RECELE les ressources secrètes et cachées, celles propices à donner à voir le rayonnement artistique d'Arman pour que les "TRESORS CACHES" de ce
grand artiste continuent d'offrir le foisonnement des fruits.
Il nous a transmis. Et nous continuons de transmettre à la descendance.
Cet engagement solennel fait de NOUS la lignée des SUCCESSEURS: qui RECELONS les ressources à la mesure de ce colosse.
Nous le prouverons.

RECEIVE OF SUCCESSION
The homage to Arman in the "Jardins du Palais Royal" represented an eye-opening event in the story of the "Arman suite".
Because we have SEEN.
Seen what was there.
But more importantly what was not there.
Inciting a more advanced thought on what's missing...
Arman is no longer with us.
But his work remains.
The question is: WHERE?
We, inheritors, are guarantors of the succession It is our responsibility in regard to history: Arman, being a French artist, belongs to French history.
This is what we would want. But the work has left French territory and moved on the other side of the Atlantic.
Justice will be debating on this to rule on the offence of appropriation.
We have tried to evaluate what we no longer have. And share a few landmarks with you.
Quantitatively, works of art in number belong to a retrospective.
A retrospective is more than just an exhibition; it enables to show the array of technical approaches used by the artist from his earliest to his last works and provides a view of the work developmental course.
This is ESSENTIAL...
But the loss of the inheritance is not only quantitative but also qualitative.
In the work there are some "significant" works of art: those clearly marking the turns in the course of Arman creation
An inheritance being lost is the story of someone that you can no longer tell in its whole.
This pose a problem to France : Arman is one of the greatest French painter-sculptor of the twentieth century and the inheritance of this artist is gone abroad.
What matters most is that this inheritance comes back on his land
This land constitutes his original breeding ground; and also ours; and also yours.
WE are the land that RECEIVED THE DEPOSIT of his secret and hidden resources, those favourable to show Arman artistic influence such that the HIDDEN TREASURES of this great artist continue to offer the profusion of their fruits.
He passed on to us. And we continue to pass on to the descendents.
This solemn commitment makes US the lineage of SUCCESORS who RECEIVE the resources that match for this great man.
